The Begged, Borrowed and Stolen: Socha Film Project Screening TONIGHT 2/5 @ 8pm

The Begged, Borrowed and Stolen: Socha Film Project is a monthly screening
that gives local ultra-low budget or sometimes, no budget filmmakers the
chance to screen their work to an audience of supportive peers, held each
month at the Socha Cafe in San Francisco’s Mission District. In addition to
screening the work, comment/score cards are distributed to all audience
members, which at the end of the night are tallied and given to each of the
filmmakers so that they may see the individual’s responses to their films.
The filmmakers who have made the largest impact on the audience are given
film related prizes generously donated by the professional film community.
This motivates the talented artist both personally as well as financially,
and is our communities way of saying “go make another film.”

The Fifth Monthly Begged, Borrowed and Stolen: Socha Film Project will be
held on Thursday, Feb. 5th at 8pm at the Socha Cafe: 3235 Mission Street (@
Valencia) *
