Migration is the story of California. But in a state that’s home to 11 million immigrants, no one neighborhood can tell that whole story – a story that encompasses not just arrival, but also displacement and exclusion, resistance and welcome. Besides, migration isn’t something you can put away in a locked display case: it’s a living story. That’s why when the California Migration Museum was established in 2021, we decided that we wanted to break through the museum wall.
Now, the California Migration Museum is excited to introduce the first three tours in our series of free, immersive audio walks, Migrant Footsteps.
Download our app today and explore the hidden histories of San Francisco's neighborhoods through sound, augmented reality, and pop-up installations.
