Hanami Hope strives to promote peace and justice in three different ways:
1) Telling the stories of Japanese Americans and how the aftermath of wartime incarceration has shaped the characters, personalities, and relationships of generations;
2) Endeavoring to promote community development by providing a model of childhood STEM learning through a subsidized soroban program;
3) Promoting healthy “Village” living by informing lower income, minority community members about asset preservation issues stemming from safeguarding family homes through Medi-Cal recovery avoidance and understanding about publicly funded long-term care programs;
4) Stimulating small-scale microbusiness development.
