Built out of necessity to combat the Bay Area's creative exodus spurred by lack of space and resources, the Loom merges a 163,000 sq. ft. mixed-use industrial revival of the historic Oakland Cotton Mill with a purpose-driven community.
It is both a physical space and a vibrant eco-system, fostering social cohesion through creation, education, innovation, and regeneration.
This holistic approach not only provides essential resources for underserved BIPOC Oakland creatives, but also enriches and preserves the unique cultural tapestry of the area.
