Founded in 2016, PALOMA PRESS is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, Filipino American women-led, independent literary press.
We are the first Southeast Asian/Filipino American publishing house founded on the San Francisco Peninsula. We believe that the literary arts can help create a world of possibilities and the possibility of a better world. As lifelong readers, we welcome diverse voices and perspectives, and especially seek out works that explore themes such as home, migration, wonder, love, loss, language, justice, history, and human ecology. Our mission is to publish poetry and other literary works that honor our shared identities and inspire our creative futures.
As of 2022, we are fiscally sponsored by IAM, which allows us to build capacity, expand our publishing operations, and launch new programs to support, celebrate, mentor, and partner with culture makers in the region and help widen our understanding of what it means to reimagine all of our possibilities.
